Have some questions on SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring for your farm? Let’s answer these for you…

What are the benefits of SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring for my herd?

There are many; the system allows you to accurately detect when an animal is in heat, along with timings for both conventional and sexed semen.

The system will also detect anestrus cows and cows with irregular heats. Secondly, it can detect health issues. It allows you to farm with more freedom with real time alerts whether you are on or off the farm, reducing the reliance on labour as it works for you.

All the information from SenseHub is clearly presented in a user-friendly platform, available on the SenseHub App or desktop.

What is the difference between SenseHub GO and SenseHub UP?

SenseHub GO is a simple and affordable subscription plan for SenseHub Monitoring Technology. It involves paying a fixed cost per cow per month over a 5-year fixed contract with the price depending on herd size.

There is no upfront payment or annual payment required with GO. Full warranty on hardware for the duration of the contract. SenseHub UP is where one upfront payment for the system is made on purchase.

With Subscription, does ownership of the system pass to farmer after year 5?

Ownership of the system will pass to the farmer from day one. The farmer owns all the equipment, but the system will only function as long as the subscription fee is paid.

What happens if a customer terminates payments before the end of 5 years?

There is a termination fee included in the contract.

Can I buy the system outright during the 5-year contract?

At the end of the 5 years, the farmer will have the option to enter into a new 5 year contract or continue on a rolling yearly contract. Any defective hardware will be replaced under warranty as under the previous contract.

What is the cost of SenseHub GO?

The SenseHub GO monthly payment is dependent on the number of cows within the herd and can also vary depending on a farm-by-farm basis.

What is the turnaround time from order to installation of SenseHub?

Once the product is delivered we aim to have the system installed within 7 working days. Once collars or tags are on cows it will take four days to calibrate for health monitoring and seven days for heats to appear on the system.

Is there any on-going after sales support or training?

Yes, there is a series of training for new customers, immediate training on the system after installation, further training within one month of installation to familiarise the user with their own data, and further training six months post installation to ensure best user capability.

Thereafter, there are regular training sessions organised for all our customers and our technical team (both locally and globally) are always available to answer queries and troubleshoot as needed.

Will there be any further advancements with SenseHub in the future?

Yes, SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring is part of a wider SenseHub Ecosystem. This ecosystem currently includes other hardware such as our SenseHub Drafting Gate, SenseHub Youngstock and SenseHub Milking Technology (SenseHub Inline Somatic Cell Count (SCC) Sensor and SenseHub Inline MilkPlus Sensor).
